Facilities & Infrastructure

Safe, modern schools for every student.

Our students spend thousands of hours in school buildings that shape how they learn, feel, and grow. Angelica believes every child in Valle Lindo deserves a campus that is safe, well-maintained, and built for 21st-century learning.

Modern school building and classroom facilities

Conduct a comprehensive audit of all district facilities to identify safety hazards, deferred maintenance, and infrastructure gaps.
Develop a long-term capital improvement plan that prioritizes the most urgent needs and ensures equitable investment across all campuses.
Pursue state and federal funding opportunities to modernize classrooms, upgrade technology infrastructure, and improve accessibility.
Ensure transparent reporting to the community on facilities spending and project timelines.

Parent & Community Engagement

Open doors, open dialogue, open Board.

The best decisions for our schools are made when families, educators, and community members have a real seat at the table. Angelica is committed to making the Board of Education accessible, transparent, and genuinely responsive to the people it serves.

Strengthen partnerships with parent organizations, PTAs, and community groups to amplify family voices in Board decisions.

Create pathways for student voice in Board discussions, because the students themselves have the most at stake.

Every child in Valle Lindo is capable of achieving great things — and it's the Board's responsibility to ensure every school has the programs, resources, and strategies to make that possible. Angelica will champion rigorous, equitable, and inspiring education for all students.

Expand access to enrichment programs — arts, STEM, dual-language, and career pathways — across all schools, not just select campuses.
Use student performance data responsibly to identify achievement gaps and direct resources where they are needed most.
Advocate for robust mental health and counseling support so students can focus on learning.
